Our Pink Puppy: Nova

The puppy wearing the pink/lavender ribbon in the previous pictures is Nova. The one in the yellow ribbon in these pictures is Nova. The ribbons got switched during their baths before we got there, on our second visit. The pups are now 7 weeks old and the females are both 16 pounds. The male is 17 pounds. We're gonna have one big girl on our hands! A SUPER NOVA!

Pink or Yellow?

Josh and I saw Carma and Boris's puppies this afternoon! When we got there the puppies were so tired, because they had been visited before us, but we watched them eat and gain back their energies. We also watched Carma lick up their poop. ewww!! Amorita said that's what mommy dogs do, but I think it's just what dogs do!!

After the puppies ate lunch, the yellow puppy decided she wanted to sniff the pink puppies butt, and guess what happened? More Ewww is what. The pink puppy pooped on the yellow puppy's head. It was actually really funny, because the puppy had no idea what happened and was running around with a soupy pile of poop on the top of his head. Amorita grabbed the pup to clean her off and said "come here shit head!"

We also took the pups outside for the first time today. The pink pup was kind of scared and just wanted to be close by us or in our laps, but I think she was getting comfortable outside after awhile. The yellow pup wandered around for a little while before starting to cry, but we distracted her by getting her to chase us around the yard. The yellow pup even went potty outside for the first time and Josh and I threw a big party, which the puppy loved.

We're not sure which one we like best, so we're going to wait until our 7 week visit to decide. I like the pink one just because she loves Josh and looks him straight in the eyes. I think she would be the easier one to train out of the two because she seems like she looks for guidance and reassurance. I think Josh likes the yellow pup because she is more independent, but equally playful as the pink one. She did like to play and was less afraid of being outside. It's just a really hard choice because they're both so cute and we'd be happy with either of them, but ultimately, Josh will be making the decision.

Here is a video of the yellow pup chasing after Josh, her first day outside:
